Funniest story of the trip

Patrick told me a story I'd never heard before...

True Story:
When he worked at the Cotton Mill in Georgia when he was like 19 or 20 there was a guy there that said he was born without an ass-hole. Well, they had to do surgery and give him an ass-hole but, when they did, he had no control over his bodily functions. So, during the course of the day, he would shit himself and it was really gross (no doubt). So, Patrick, being supervisor had to deal with this all the time.

I asked Patrick "Why didn't he get some depends or something??"

Without thinking Patrick answered "I guess he just didn't give a shit."

How ironic is that?
I laughed so hard.

Back from Colorado

What a trip!

Here are some scenary from Colorado. I will post some X-mas pics soon too. There are a bunch of 'em and some of them are sorta repeated, but I didn't feel like sorting them out. What an exhausting trip! Christmas was good! I had a good time with my family. It was different, this year because it was the first Christmas in Colorado, but it was good.

On to the pictures

P.s. many of these pictures were taken out the windshield of a car at 60mph so the quality isn't the greatest, but sometimes there isn't much room to pull off on the side of the road!

All I've got to say is that some good new years fun would be watching Napoleon Dynamite because it is the best flippin' movie I have seen in like FOREVER, Gosh!

Seriously, for anyone who reads my blog, you will all love & cherish this movie and quote it forever and ever. I saw it, I bought it, i've watched it like 5 times already.

Well, Holiday time has approached and I wanted to wish all my blogger friends a wonderful holiday season! Not to sound stalkerish or anything, but I tried to track some of you down to send holiday cards to, but alas! I realize that I don't know your whole names... or emails.... but I do know the important stuff - the wit and sarcasm I enjoy reading daily:)

SO, that being said, Happy Holidays to you all and I hope you'll have a great new year!

I hate dealing with doctors

I'm not totally cynical about doctors, but having had a bad experience with a doctor who wanted to do surgery that wasn't really neccessary, I do question more now that I ever did.

It will require anesthesia and all that crap and it sounds painful. I've already had the "lite" version performed and that hurt like a mo-fo.

I'm not a wuss, but I do try to prevent pain and annoyances when I can. Soooo many things doctors want you do have done are just fluff.

I hate it when doctors are overly careful but then don't tell you about the other options. I had to go online and find out what else can be done. She has suggested a cone biopsy which is a procedure which will require anesthesia and removing a chunk of tissue from my body BUT it is for high risk cases. Mine is low risk. Why do I have to go through all that when I could have abnormal surface cells removed wtih a laser quickly and with less pain.

Wouldn't have known ANY of that unless I'd looked up online. Noone ever tells you what the options are. THAT is what I hate most.

AND I hate the fact that I don't know many girls so I don't know anybody who has had this done.

Blah. Being a girl sucks.

Taking the bite outta crime

Okay, this guy is crazy. He BIT his own dog for punishment and then got arrested for it. Poor dog... it was a tiny little Jack Russell! The dog was bleeding and terrified. I just don't understand animal cruelty at all...

Sometimes I sit around feeling SO guilty for not calling my friends more often. I still feel very close to them no matter how long it's been since we've seen each other we still pick up where we left off. And I think, "I'm so terrible, I don't talk to them nearly enough!"

But, last night I started getting pretty pissed because I remembered that the last time we talked, I called THEM. Why am I the one to feel guilty? The phone works both ways, ya know. AND with cell phones being nothing new, everyone has 'free' long distance to use to call me.

It's not fair that I sit around all guilty and they aren't. So, THERE. I just served a major heaping spoonful of Guilt trip!

I don't wanna go to bed!

Normally at 9.30 in the evening I would be totally wiped out and ready for bed. Tonight I just want to stay awake, but 5.30am comes all too quickly if I go to bed past 11.30 or so.

Patrick and I watched the 3+ hour long movie The Last Emperor about Emperor P'u Yi of China. Veeerrrry great movie. I loved it. So, I've been online looking at real images of them.

Now I'm just sorta sitting here listening to the Beatles and looking up the lyrics online while I try to learn them more completely. I hate when I only 1/2 way know the lyrics to a great song.... So... Yeah, I'm typing and singing along at the same time. Just sorta veggin' out in a way.

It is so relaxing that I don't want to go to bed. This is quality relax time and I never get that. But, sometimes that dread of waking up dead-ass tired breaks the relaxation...

Maybe I'll just hafta be tired tomorrow!

Which Wonka Character are you?

You're Veruca Salt! Hey, i have to be honest, we
don't like you. But hey, that's never stopped
you before, has it? You're ruthless, driven,
and perhaps just a tad kinky (and prone to
outbursts of self-righteousness). In a word:
Bitch. With musical inclinations.

Let's hear it for the Bud 'Ice' Penguin

I miss the Bud Ice Penguin with his creepy, beer stealing "dooby-dooby-dooooooo".....
Click here to see him These commercials really kicked butt! They never made me like beer, but they did make me think that the beer industry had a better sense of humor than I ever thought before...

SEC Championship Banners

Here are the SEC Championship banners I designed for the city of Auburn and for the University's Campus poles. I spent HOURS on these suckers, so I thought I'd do SOMEthing else with them. So, I am sharing the Auburn Joy. Here they are...

Jai Guru Deva Om

I thought I would share the only piece of mind I've had all day with all the bloggerso out there...

Jai=Live Forever
Deva =Heavenly One
Om =The Vibration of the Universe

*Across the Universe*

Words are flying out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting thorough my open mind
Possessing and caressing me

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Images of broken light which
dance before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a
restless wind inside a letter box
they tumble blindly as
they make their way across the universe

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Sounds of laughter shades of life
are ringing through my open ears
exciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which
shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on across the universe

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

A Buck twenty-five

This morning, I was desperately trying to find something clean and stylish enough to wear because it has been what seems like ages since we've done laundry. I have older clothes sprinkled through all three bedroom closets and began trying on and tossing clothes left and right.

My old tan corduroys don't fit, but I did find a quarter in the pocket! For me, this is a nice surprise! So, I smiled, took the corduroys off and went about my search still oddly gleeful about a measley quarter.

Anyways, I finally found what I was going to wear and when I put my hand into my jacket pocket, I found a $1 bill! It was just plain wierd how excited I was and how odd it was to hold money. I don't have a lot of money anyways, but usually it goes straight from my account to bills or I swipe a plastic check card to pay for things. My dollar felt really weird in my hand. So primitive.
I like cash. I need more of it.

SEC Championship

So, I really hope that Auburn wins the SEC Championship on Saturday because I have been putting a WHOLE lotta effort into some championship banners that will be put up downtown if we do win. It would really suck to do all this work and never see it anywhere :(

This whole thing has been a football learning experience. I am NOT football savy, so this has been a challenge. It has been fun designing sport stuff, but I still think that the premise of football is mostly ridiculous.

Vanderbilt is getting rid of their football program slowly. I think they are smart.
